The Village of Loda

About the Village of Loda, Illinois

Welcome to the Village of Loda — a quiet, welcoming community tucked away in the heart of east-central Illinois. Though small in size, Loda is big on pride, kindness, and spirit.

Our roots run deep in farming, hard work, and neighborly connection. You’ll find folks who look out for one another, familiar faces at local gatherings, and a slower pace of life that lets you breathe a little easier.

Loda is home to one community park, where residents come together for local events like Loda Good Ole Days, our annual celebration of small-town life and community tradition.

The proud home of a handful of locally owned businesses, Loda’s small but mighty lineup forms the heartbeat of our farming community. You can grab a great meal at Murdock’s Place, visit the Farmer’s Market at Mulberry Lane Farm (when in season) for locally grown and handcrafted items, or stop by their self-serve stands for fresh produce and firewood. Our community also includes Meats Plus (a wholesale food distributor), Weber Fertilizer & Trucking, Hi-Grade Eggs, Loda Township Library, Hart’s Greenhouse & Nursery, Power Planter, a Dollar General, and Loda Big Mart, our local gas and general store.

Whether you’ve lived here all your life or you’re just settling in, Loda offers the kind of warmth that reminds you what small-town living is all about.
